Having received confirmation of team entries from each club last Friday, the League's key priority is to finalise the Junior competition draw this week.
The receipt of team entries has confirmed that new club Manning Valley Mustangs will enter a team in Under 11s, whilst Northern Beaches Blues (Under 11) and Camden Haven Bombers (Under 11 and Under 15.5) will both re-enter the competition in 2016.
This is a fantastic sign of positive growth in player numbers, team entries, and competition growth for AFL North Coast. From a draw perspective, it does make it challenging to have all teams from one club playing at the same venue on any given round, however the League is looking at creative scheduling options to minimise the impact of teams playing in different locations.
The need to have club's teams play in different locations only comes about due to the growth in team and club numbers, which is a good challenge to have. Eeveryone associated with AFL North Coast wants to see more clubs, more teams, and more chances for Juniors to play footy and that will certainly happen in the 2016 season.
The League and clubs have been working together on this approach for several months. For more information please discuss this with your club.
