NSW/ACT recorded two outstanding wins on Saturday in Darwin in the scorching heat against Northern Territory teams.
First game of the day – the U17/U18s development game – and NSW/ACT dominated from the bounce to run away with a very convincing victory by 190 points.
Final score: NSW/ACT 29.18 (192) defeated Northern Territory 0.2 (2).
Goals: Jake Brown 5, Jack Hardman 3, Jacob Turner 3, Harry Carr 3, Connor Byrne 2, Connor Owen-Auburn 2, Brenden Myers 2, Luke Skrivanic 2, Will Gowers 2, Liam Maze, Brandon Clark, Sam Wicks, Tom Highmore, Nicholas Shipley.
Best on Ground was Jake Brown from Coffs Harbour. Other strong performers were Connor Byrne, Liam Maze, Jack Hardman (formerly Lower Clarence Eagles), Jacob Turner, Will Gowers.
Next it was Round 1 of the NAB AFL U16 National Championships and it was a tight contest up until half-time, however NSW/ACT Rams were victorious by 46 points.
Final score: NSW/ACT 12.16 (88) defeated Northern Territory 5.12 (42)

Again, it was a North Coast boy who was deemed Best on Ground with Chris Holten (Macleay Valley Eagles) reciving the award. Others to receive votes were Jack Rowston, Riley Corbett, Nick Blakey, Max Beaumont, Ben Kelly.
Well done to all in the teams for their strong performances, with special mention to the North Coast boys who are really making their names on the bigger stage.
That wraps up the U17/U18 program (outside those still playing in the Allies in Division 1).
The Under 16s will now head to the Gold Coast for Round 2 & 3 at the start of July.
