Jenelle Smith, Janine Griffiths and Mandy Swansborough are preparing the Wildcats Basketball Club for their personal fulltime siren.

After three years as the active 'behind the scenes' organisers of the club, they are getting ready to hand over the reigns to the next group of interested parents who will lead the club into the future.

The three club stalwarts have been with the Wildcats since its inception three years ago and as their children have graduated or are about to graduate from competitions in which the club fields teams, they believe it is time to give others a chance to run the club.

Presently 8 teams play under the Wildcats banner in both the High School and Primary Competitions. They have had as many as 11 teams in previous competitions, and this has created a lot of work in securing uniforms, seeking sponsorship, collecting funds, recruiting coaches and managing the hand out and return of uniforms.

It may be, that more than 300 players who in the short history of the club have been a 'Wildcat' might have missed out on the chance to play basketball except for the Wildcats Club, and on their behalf, CHBA would like to express its appreciation to Jenelle, Janine and Mandy for their past efforts.

CHBA also acknowledges the assistance the Wildcats have provided to the association in finding teams for players and assisting in competition administration.

The 'three amigos' are not ready for a complete exit just yet and will stay on until the end of the year to assist the new club leaders along their learning curve and have also offered to remain as 'advisers' to the incoming club leaders in the new year.

Jenelle, Janine and Mandy will leave the club with a healthy working balance to allow it to enter 2015 with a positive ledger.

Already Meredith and Adam Martin have put their hand up to take over the running of the club.

CHBA will meet with the club representatives this evening to plan the way ahead, which most likley will involve an open meeting of members and their parents, to ensure the necessary support fot the new leadership team.
