The 2017 Hoey Moey State League Men's team sees a fresh new line-up of faces with some old, some new and some sure to fire up the home crowd!

The new faces to the team this year include Jah Soloai and Jemoein Manns who join us from the Bundaberg Bulls and also Matt Cook who has relocated from Newcastle, these players in addition to the return of Darcy Kean and Andrew Williams along with our returning players from last season is sure to provide the Suns the base and support they need to be a competitive force in the Molten Waratah League.

The men began their season this past weekend on the road against the Port Macquarie Dolphins coming away with a well-deserved 78-67 win. The Dolphins started the game strong and came out with a quick lead in the first quarter but the Suns clawed it back to 36-34 lead at half-time.

The Suns changed up their defence which saw them move to a zone that the Dolphins couldn’t seem to crack and with the hot shooting of new signing Matt Cook who hit 3 3-pointers in the third quarter the Suns brang the game home strong.

This Saturday sees the men up against the Tamworth Thunderbolts with tip-off at 6:00pm and is sure to be an exciting game. So please come on down and support our Hoey Moey Suns.
