A flurry of police activity at basketball yesterday morning (see separatre story) prevented us from distributing the attached newsletter to all coaches and parents.

It is rather ironic and very regrettable that on the very day that we chose to distribute a flier to 'all and sundry' about appropriate behaviour by players, coaches, referees and supporters, it was necessary to suspend a player for punching another player.

There is absolutely no place for violence in basketball activities conducted by CHBA and the young player accompanied by his parent will attend a tribunal hearing next Saturday to decide what penalty will be imposed following the incident.
