Blow the Whistle on Violence
SBA Officials will be wearing the Blow the Whistle on Violence logo and using red whistles, promoting the message "Violence is not OK, on or off the court".
Blow the Whistle is a community driven, family violence campaign that uses the language of sport and high profile sports people to encourage people to ask for help if they, or someone they know, are living with violence. Our local ambassador is James Paringatai.
> Basketball should be played without harassment or abuse
> Recognise that referees are doing their best and that some are in training
More information on the campaign can be found on the Blow the Whistle web site.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
