The Melton Toyota Riddell District Football Netball League is proud to announce that it has this week entered into a partnership with McDonald’s as a Major Partner of the league for the 2015 season.
This partnership, designed to complement existing partnerships that McDonald’s hold with a number of junior and senior RDFNL clubs, will see the McDonald’s brand splashed across the RDFNL landscape and in particular the Senior Finals Series, which will now be known as the McDonald’s RDFNL Finals Series.
McDonald’s local franchisees Tim & Ben Westover, who own the Melton, Sunbury, Gisborne, Sydenham, Rockbank and Calder Freeway stores, entered into this partnership seeing a fit between what McDonald’s are currently doing within the community and with local RDFNL clubs
“I think it’s an excellent fit [between McDonald’s and the RDFNL]”, commented Tim Westover.
“We have an involvement with a number of clubs that are currently in the league, and I think that anything we can do to foster that community spirit [will help]”.
“What’s important for us is getting involved in the community and giving something back to the customers that support us”.
RDFNL Media, Marketing & Events Manager Shaun Kelly was thrilled to officially announce the partnership, noting the contribution that McDonald’s makes across the football landscape.
“McDonald’s are a fantastic partner of local football and netball throughout Victoria, and we’re extremely pleased to welcome them into the RDFNL family”, Kelly said.
“With McDonald’s being extremely active in neighbouring AFL Goldfields leagues as well as the Western Jets and the Calder Cannons, we welcomed the chance for the RDFNL to partner with McDonald’s”.
“As well as becoming our Naming Rights partner to the Senior Finals Series, we’ll also see the McDonald’s brand on our netball umpires and throughout our different media outlets throughout 2015 and beyond”.
“Both the RDFNL and McDonald’s are looking forward to a long association that is mutually beneficial to both parties”.
McDonald’s joins a growing list of companies who have pledged their support to the Riddell District FNL in 2015, including The Meadows, Gillies Famous Pies, Teamworks Performance and the Bank of Melbourne who are partnering with the League for the first time, with Bank of Melbourne Sunbury Branch Manager John Baldwin another very excited to be a part of the local sporting environment in the region.
“We’re proud to be involved with the Riddell District league at both a junior and senior level, and we’re looking forward to getting to know all RDFNL clubs in the short-term”, Baldwin commented upon the announcement of the Bank of Melbourne’s partnership with the RDFNL at the league’s Season Launch a couple of weeks back where it was announced that the Bank of Melbourne’s Sunbury branch will be the Naming Rights partner to the league’s junior football competition in 2015 and beyond.
