Macedon's Darren Goodwin has capped off a fantastic season by being crowned the 2013 Bowen Medallist as the fairest & best player in the Melton Toyota Riddell District Football Netball League.
Goodwin, who polled two votes in the Cats' Round 18 win over Wallan to defeat Riddell's Haydn Ross by one vote, was presented with his award in front of over 300 people at the RDFNL's Bowen & Ryan Medal night at Lakeside Banquet & Convention Centre.
Goodwin capped off a great night by being named in the centre of the Melton Toyota Team of the Year, with Diggers Rest forward Brent Tuckey awarded the Melton Toyota Player of the Year award, voted on by RDFNL Senior coaches, league officials and media.
Melton Centrals' Renee Hulls was the other big winner on the night, capping off a fantastic season by taking home the Ryan Medal, the RDFNL's highest netball honour.
Hulls, who was named as the goal attack in the Western Water Team of the Year, held off a late charge from Sunbury Kangaroos' Kellie Down to win the award by one vote.
All award winners are listed below, and full vote listings for each football and netball grade have been forwarded along with this media release.
