Bellerive Oval looks set to host one and possibly two VFL finals this season if the Tassie Devils make the VFL eight - leaving Aurora Stadium, the State's best football venue, out of the picture.
VFL chief executive Ken Gannon confirmed yesterday that the Devils are almost definitely assured of playing a home final if they qualify for the eight, with Bellerive Oval the likely venue.
"It is reasonably likely that the Devils will get a home final," Gannon said.
The VFL will meet Devils team officials on Monday to discuss finals venues.
"We have a couple of complications over here involving games we promised to Bendigo to work out," Gannon said.
"So while it is highly likely there will be a game in Tassie we are not at this stage prepared to commit to it nor would Tassie be prepared to definitely say they're in the finals either."
