Round 10 Review

BITS VS GLADSTONE

The local derby sees BITS taking on Gladstone, regardless of were these 2 sides are on the ladder they are always entertaining and physical matches.  John Berouti will be serving the 2nd week of his suspension so that will be one less headache for the Mudcrabs, however the Saints proved last week that they aren't a one man band up front with Adam Rakip and Scott Muller able to fill the hole left by the Animal.

The key for the Mudcrabs will be to win as much ball from the middle as possible and starve the classy Saints forwards of supply.  This is easy said then done with BITS having the best midfield in the league.  Will be interesting to see how the younger Gladstone team holds up against a rampaging hot Saints outfit.

Prediction: BITS by 53 points

PANTHERS VS YEPPOON

Yeppoon were hammered last week by Glenmore but Panthers are also coming off a heavy defeat to Gladstone.  The team who is able to move on from last week the earliest should go on and win this game.  Panthers are still without a win this year, but will be confident given Yeppoon seem to have hit a form slump.

If Yeppoon turn up to play then their classy runners such as Matt Wallin, Cam Watkin, Sam Nicholls will run riot.  For Panthers they will need to stop the run provided from these guys and slow the game down.  The other key for Panthers is who can stand-up and kick a bag of goals, Yeppoon have a number of players that can kick goals for them.

Prediction: Yeppoon by 46 points

GLENMORE VS BROTHERS

The key, shut down the youngest of the Payne brothers Tyson and Darcy and you give yourself every chance to win the game.  All 4 Payne brothers have been magnificent so far this year but it is the younger 2 that teams should worry most about.  They are quick, super fit and win the hard ball at the contest, Darcy can then also go forward and kick big bags of goals.

Brothers are a more physical side, but do they have the legs to run with the younger and quicker Glenmore outfit.  Do Brothers also have a couple of players to step-up and kick a bag of goals, so far this year this has been one of their weakest links.

Prediction: Glenmore by 38 points
