Junior Domestic Grand Finals
Sixty-Six Junior Domestic Boys teams from DVBA’s U12- U20s Competitions participated in the M&M Printworks 2015 Spring Grand Finals on Saturday 12th December. The following day saw 32 Junior Domestic Girl’s teams compete in their Grand Finals and finish the season on a high.
The atmosphere at the stadium on both days was electric with family and friends filling seats and standing room only. Each team proved why they deserved their spot in the finals and fought hard to earn the title of ‘Premiers’ for their age group and grade. With the majority of matches ending with small point margins, spectators were on the edge of their seats, cheering on their team. Grading Secretaries for the Spring Competition must be acknowledged here, as this highlights what a great job they have done this season.
On arrival at the stadium on Saturday and Sunday, players and spectators were greeted by the Senior Championship Committee and Senior and Youth League Men, operating a successful BBQ to raise funds for the SC Program. Thank you to everyone who helped out at the BBQ and kept everyone well fed throughout the day.
DVBA would like to thank all of the people that made the Junior Domestic Grand Finals such a success. Thank you to all Junior Domestic Clubs, their players, parents and coaches for your efforts and support on the day and throughout the season. A huge thank you must go to the volunteers from Eltham North, Yarrambat, St Martins, Hurstbridge, Apollo, Cougars and Rosanna East who assisted with presentations, court announcements and marshaling. You all did a fantastic job.
Thank you to the court supervisor, scorers and referees who officiated each match and ensured the day ran smoothly. A big thank you to DVBA’s Senior Championship Men and Women and Youth League Men and Women as well as their coaches, for presenting each player with their Grand Final Medallions and assisting around the stadium.
Well done to all Junior Domestic Teams competing in the Spring 2015 Competition. Congratulations to the teams that qualified for finals and the players who received MVP Awards. Have a great break and see you all next season!
