Australian Selection for Eagle
Diamond Valley Eagle, Alexandra Sharp (U16/1) was selected to represent Australia in the Under 17 Womens Team at the FIBA Oceania 2012 Pacific Youth Basketball Championships in November after recently returning from the Australian Development Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport, which ran from Monday September 24- Friday September 28.
Following on from the Victorian Metro U16 Team success at the Australian Championships, Alexandra and DV team-mate Grace Collett were invited to attend the Australian Development Camp. Special thanks goes to Alan McAughtry, Director of Coaching at Diamond Valley, for his meticulous preparation work with the girls.
Alex is extremely proud of her selection and is already preparing for the November Games, she can’t wait to play in the “green and gold”!
