The versatile and journeyed Tim Brook is the next signing for the Big V State Championship Men’s Eagles team for season 2016. On court or in the locker room – Tim’s presence is felt. He is a physically strong competitor who can fill a variety of roles, but is a calm, respectful and professional person to have around the team, and the club.

‘Tim lead by example on court and was a voice of reason off court, which was great for our young group. With the signings we have for the coming season, he will get to play more of his true position on the floor – and I think you’ll see him flourish as a result’, Head Coach Alan McAughtry believes.

‘We’ll expect more from him on the offensive end to round out his game, because he is incredibly valuable to us with his ability to guard bigger players or smaller, quicker players and get a job done defensively for us. I’m so pleased to have a player and person like Tim back around our group for 2016.’Tim’s versatility as a player was shown on many occasions last season as he could go from offensive outputs like 17 points against Hawthorn and 15 points against Whittlesea on over 50% shooting from the field and 10 or less shots in both games – to consistent bunches of weeks of 2+ steals or up to 2 blocks in any given game.

‘Tim is a great guy and does a fantastic job at 30+ of keeping his body in great condition. I am looking forward to Tim having a more consistent scoring year in 2016. Tim's work ethic is first class and it is great to have him back for 2016’, DVBA CEO Ross Wignell added.
