We at the DVBA are proud to announce our latest affiliation with the Melbourne Boomers.
Establishing this partnership is a vital step towards us at the DVBA providing an affiliate at the next level, as well as a positive example for our Association's female participants in the great sport of basketball.
Although this is a new partnership, many home grown members of Diamond Valley basketball have been linked to the Boomers already. State Championship players Alex Sharp and Grace Collett have been Development Players for the Boomers, whilst Eagles coach Mark Alabakov was an Assistant Coach with Boomers for the past two seasons. On top of this, our former State Championship Men's coach Al McAughtry has commenced a new role as Assistant Coach with the Boomers for the upcoming 2016/17 season.
The existing relationship has also assisted Diamond Valley with ex-Boomer Hayley Munro and Boomers Development Players, Courtenay Wragg and Ashleigh Stewart representing the Eagles in our Big V State Championship Women this past season
As the partnership progresses we will have further information on how this affiliation will benefit our members.
To celebrate the partnership, we are offering 3 game adult Boomer's memberships for $40, or just $20 for the kids. It could be the perfect way to fill in your time in the Big V off-season!
A small portion of any Boomers membership sold will also be donated to our organisation, any money raised will be put to good use improving our facilities!
