The top of the table Splashers were too strong for the Redbacks, with a comfortable win after leading from pillar to post! Once again The Splashers lived up to their name, draining 10 triples for the game. They were led by Christian Yammouni’s 20 but had another 4 players hit double figures (including Big V superstar, Mike Rose) showing some real depth to the team. For the Redbacks, Nathan Grimes was solid as always, with 14 points.

8.00PM St. Mary’s Sharks 75 def. No Big Deal 70
In a game where defence seemed to be very optional, the Sharks came out winners in what was a closer than expected game. No Big Deal have struggled in their first season of Civic League, but put up a good fight, led by Josh Shaw’s 25 points! The young Sharks were never able to establish some breathing space, making hard work of this one. Daniel Girolami had 20 for the Sharks, and Tom Boek’s 17 (5 triples) proved to be what got his group over the line.

8.55PM Greenhills Beavers 58 def. by Uni Hill 59
The Game of the Week did not disappoint, with Uni Hill narrowly edging out the Beavers in an epic battle! Jason Hendry’s 2pt basket with about a minute to go put Uni Hill up and turned out to be the last score of the game! This capped off a huge night for Hendry, totalling 25 points to lead his team to the win. For the Beavers, Adam Moore had 25 points, doing his work inside for most of the evening.
