Ryan Bowkett Becomes NBL1 Eagles Player for 2019
Diamond Valley Basketball Association are pleased to announce that former Junior Eagle, Ryan Bowkett, will be playing in our Eagles NBL1 team for 2019.
Ryan has been involved with Eagles teams for many years now, beginning his journey as a bottom aged U/12 player in the Victorian Junior Basketball League for the Eagles, continuing to get better with every year in the program. His junior career took a major step up when he was invited to play in the U/16 Victorian Metro side & also represent the state at the East Cost Challenge for the U/18 program.
Last year, Ryan made the decision to step away from basketball to focus on his football career, playing representative club football for the Northern Knights for the 2018 season. Ryan now returns re-energized and ready to make a big impact on the Youth League & NBL1 level.

Head Coach Grant Wallace was thrilled to have Ryan now playing in the senior side;

This year, our Eagles Senior Teams will be competing against some of the best clubs in Australia, with Basketball Victoria announcing the new NBL1 League in 2019. Ryan will be an ambassador for St Mary’s Sharks Basketball, building on the strong connections between the Junior and Senior programs.
