Senior Eagles presented jerseys in front of packed stadium
On Sunday 3rd March, our Greensborough Plaza & Thornbury Car Care Youth League & NBL1 teams gathered at Diamond Valley Sports & Fitness Centre in front of a packed house, to be presented their jerseys for the 2019 season.
Members of our Junior Domestic clubs, our U/12 & U/14 Representative Programs & parents filled out the grand stand on court 1, with Squark the Eagle Mascot leaving his nest to get photos with all the juniors! With signed team balls thrown into the stands for lucky juniors & prizes given out, the crowd went wild.
Each senior player was presented with their jersey by a junior domestic club, as part of the senior ambassador’s program at Diamond Valley Basketball. Juniors from the U/12 & U/14 Eagles programs had players from the Youth & NBL1 teams visit & participate in their Sunday trainings, which was a fantastic opportunity to learn from the very best.
“What a great representation and presentation of our Diamond Valley Basketball Association,” CEO Ross Wignell stated. “All of our U/12 & U/14 Junior Championship Eagles, players from our Junior Domestic clubs, and parents were involved in meeting the new and welcoming back our existing Senior Eagles players for our Greensborough Plaza Youth Womens, Thornbury Car Care Youth Mens, plus the NBL1 Mens and Womens teams. It provided a fantastic visual of the basketball pathway at Diamond Valley.”
