NBL1 Eagles Fly High in Offseason
After a terrific NBL1 season, some of our strong eagle talent are tackling some exciting new challenges elsewhere from playing in Thailand to signing with a WNBL team.
Darcy Harding had a fantastic showing during the season finishing with and impressive 11.3 points per game shooting with 41% accuracy. Now he is taking his talent overseas where he will play with the NBL1 All-stars in Thailand. With his impressive skills and talent he will sure be a big help when the play their first game next week against the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions on the 7th of September.
Hope Terdich is another star that has been selected to play in the NBL1 Women All-Stars. Hope had an amazing season scoring 16.2 points per game at an impressive 44% accuracy. With those impressive numbers she will surely play a big part in the All-Star team when they play their first games on the 31st of August.
Our biggest news comes with Anneli Maley. Anneli was one of our greatest talents last season and has now signed with the Southside Flyers to prove she has what it takes to win. Anneli showed she has what it takes in her first NBL1 season scoring 19.6 points per game and becoming one of the leading scorers in the whole competition, while also being named the league’s youth player of the year and winning our Eagles NBL1 MVP. Southside will be having their first pre-season match on the 31st of August, where Anneli will go up against her former teammate Hope.
