Diamond Valley Basketball Association is excited to announce that Ben Allen will be returning to our Men’s NBL1 for 2020.

Ben began his journey right here at Diamond Valley Basketball, playing his junior career through Greenhills Junior Domestic club and representative basketball for our Eagles program. He has had an incredible basketball career to date; starting at Indiana University and then St Mary’s College in the US, playing alongside the likes of stars like Matthew Dellavedova. Adding to his resume are multiple stints for different NBL clubs over the years, such as the Townsville Crocs and the Sydney Kings.

The 6”11 big man has also established himself as a major threat in multiple SEABL seasons, 2018 saw Ben averaging 15.4 points, 6 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Canberra Gunners. He also established himself as a key piece of the Diamond Valley Eagles in 2019 averaging 12.3 points per game and 7.4 rebounds.

Head Coach Grant Wallace stated how excited he is to have Ben back with the Eagles for 2020;

“Ben is a huge return for us in 2020.  His leadership and elite basketball IQ just make us better.  His leadership in driving the culture of our team has him held in high regard by all team members.  On the floor he is in great shape and uses his experience and crafty abilities to stretch the floor or play with his back to the basket and provide us some great options.”
