Diamond Valley Basketball Association is excited to announce the return of Ryan Bowkett to the Eagles NBL1 team for 2020!

Ryan has been involved with Eagles teams for many years now. He begun his journey as a bottom aged U/12 player in the Victorian Junior Basketball League and continued to get better with every year in the program. During his Junior Championship career, he was invited to play in the U/16 Victorian Metro side and represented the state at the Under 18 East Coast Challenge.

In 2018, Ryan made the decision to step away from bask etball to focus on his football career, playing representative club football for the Northern Knights for the 2018 season. Ryan returned to the Eagles in 2019 re-energized and ready to make a big impact on the Youth League and NBL1 level. Youth League saw Ryan average 9.63 points, 5.42 rebounds, and 3.11 assists per game.

Head Coach Grant Wallace is thrilled to have Ryan returning in 2020;

“Ryan returned home to Diamond Valley in 2019 and spent the year quietly re-establishing his skill sets in the Youth League.  In 2020 he is now primed to have a bust-out year on the floor.  His exceptional athletic ability north and south, but more importantly east and west, will have him defending the best guards in the league, whilst also providing valuable scoring relief.”
