Several Diamond Valley Eagles Players have been selected to represent Victoria at the Southern Cross Challenge and the East Coast Challenge to be held over the next few months. The Southern Cross Challenge (SCC) has been going for 2 years and has seen significant growth with players representing Vic Country & Metro, SA and WA. Previously players and coaches from Diamond Valley have represented Victoria in this event and it is pleasing to see this continue in 2013.

The East Coast Challenge sees teams play in Sydney against SA, NSW and the ACT at the Hills Stadium in Castle Hill in January.

“We are extremely proud of all of these players and also David Jamieson & Simon Hickey. It is great to see these players get to play with other kids from outside their normal environment as well as experience different coaches. Also, for the two coaches to attend and represent DV and Victoria is a huge opportunity to continue to learn” – Alan McAughtry
