Ray has been an active member within the CDSFA for almost 40 years. His involvement ranges from playing with the Marrickville club since the early 1970s to at one time holding the position of President of the Association.

Since the early '70s Ray has been a member of the Marrickville club playing in the All Age and Over 35 competitions within the Association. During this time he has held a number of key Executive positions within the Club. For his services to Marrickville Red Devils he was awarded Life Membership of the Club.

Ray has also had significant impact at Association level serving in a variety of positions. Currently he is the Association's Competition Secretary and retiring Chair or the 2009 Judiciary.

His service to teh Association over a number of years has sen him fulfil roles on the Executive Committeel as President, Secretary, and EC Member; Judiciary committee and as Competition Secretary. Ray's knowledge and experience within the Association has enabled him to hold these various offices with great effectiveness.

The continued commitment Ray has shown to the Association of a significant number of years is a great benefit to all.

Ray was awarded Life Membership of the Association at its AGM, Monday 23 November 2009.
