Malcolm Jenner (1997)

Malcolm Jenner first registered with the Association in 1951 playing continuously until 1993 first with the Belmore Soccer Club (1951-1971) followed by the Canterbury Junior Soccer Football Club (1972-1993). Malcolm's achievements in football included:

  • CDSFA Representative Football 1960-1964
  • Manager and Coach 1964-1992 (All Age, Premier League, Minis and Ladies)
  • CDSRA Member - Grade 2 referee 1976-1986
  • CJSFC Vice President 1973-1983
  • President CJSFC 1984-1986 
  • CJSFC Delegate to Association 1974-1990
  • Delegate to the Lakemba RSC - Mini Soccer Association 1981-1984
  • CJSFC Life Member 1986
  • Gold award medallion received from Canterbury Council in recognition for achievements to the sport 1979
  • CDSFA Senior Grading Committee 1988-1990; Chairman 1990-2004
  • CDSFA Appeals Committee 1988-2006
  • Special Award Certificate from the NSW Amateur Soccer Federation in appreciation of outstanding service rendered to the promotion and development of soccer 1996
  • CDSFA Life Member 1996
  • CDSFA Junior Vice President 1990-1996
  • CDSFA Assistant Secretary 2002-2004

Some highlights of Malcolm's soccer career include:

  • Meeting Manchester United's George Best, Dennis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton
  • Trifecta year - Player, Manager and Coach in 1988 (PL-4 Premiers: Player & Coach; U9-2 Premiers: Manager & Coach; Ladies Minor Premiers & Premiers: Coach)
