2018 U11/U13 Development Programme Summary

U11’s and U13’s is for players of all ability who are keen to receive extra coaching and training. We are focussed on a climate of development for young children of this age and want all keen young basketballers to come along and have a positive experience in basketball.

2018 Hawkes Bay Basketball U11/U13 Development Musters

U11 Boys & Girls (Players born in 2008 & 2009)
Muster #1: Saturday 10th February, 12.00-1.30pm, PGA
Muster #2: Thursday 15th February, 4.00-5.30pm, PGA
Muster #3: Sunday 18th February: 12.00-1.30pm, PGA

U13 Boys (Players born in 2006 & 2007)
Muster #1:
Saturday 10th February, 3.30-5.00pm, PGA
Muster #2: Thursday 15th February, 7.00-8.30pm, PGA
Muster #3: Sunday 18th February, 3.30-5.00pm, PGA

U13 Girls (Players born in 2006 & 2007)
Muster #1: Saturday 10th February, 1.45-3.15pm, PGA
Muster #2: Thursday 15th February, 5.30-7.00pm, PGA
Muster #3: Sunday 18th February, 1.45-3.15pm, PGA

* All interested players are required to attend all 3 musters. If an athlete cannot attend a muster, please ensure you have let Basketball Hawkes Bay know.
* There is no cost to attend the musters


Term 1 & 2 Programme

  • o   All players will have a weekly training session with Hawkes Bay coaches throughout March, April & May.
  • o   Basketball Hawkes Bay has the opportunity to send up to 9 development teams to Easter Tournament in Tauranga as follows:
    2x U11 Boys
    2x U11 Girls
    3x U13 Boys
    2x U13 Girls
  • o   Basketball Hawkes Bay is hosting a Queen’s Birthday Invitational Tournament which will have U11 & U13 grades.

 

Term 3 Programme

  • o   Basketball Hawkes Bay are planning to enter 6 teams into Basketball New Zealand’s U13 Central Region Championships, held on the 10th-13th October in Lower Hutt as follows:
    3x U13 Boys
    3x U13 Girls
  • o   These 6 teams will train twice weekly throughout Term 3.
