The HBS Hawks and Fico Finance Nelson Giants were the best teams in Day 2 of the NBL Pre-Season, each grabbing two wins.
Hawks started the morning with tight 10 point win over Waitakere Rangers, but quickly found their straps against hosts the Wellington Saints winning big, 81-49.
Serbian import Darko Cohadarevic was outstanding for the Hawks, anchoring the middle with veteran Kareem Johnson
Head Coach Tab Baldwin said after the Saints game, "After an indifferent first up effort against the Rangers, our HBS Bank Hawks put in a stellar effort dominating the game from the tip-off. With a 20 point lead at the half, all players got time and performed well”
