Eligibility Rules

Please be reminded of rule 6 regarding Player Eligibility:

All players must be registered with Basketball SA.

For a player to be eligible to represent a club or association, the player must have played in a minimum of 3 games in competitions/tournaments either representing the club/association or run by the club/association, in the period since October 1 prior to the Championships. For regional teams, the same criteria applies but with respect to the country associations from which the regional association is formed.

Players that have played a game in division one of the current Junior District season in the three rounds prior to the Championships, will be ineligible to play in a Reserve grade.

No player shall play in both the State and Reserve grades of the Championships.

Players must play a minimum of two (2) games to be eligible for the major rounds. This is subject to injury waivers (occurring during the championships) granted by the Tournament Committee.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
