VENOM'S CASEY DEWACHT SELECTED IN VIC UNDER 16 TEAM
Warrandyte Basketball is very proud to announce that Under 16 Venom player Casey DeWacht has been selected to represent Victoria in the Under 16 Men’s State side.
Casey has been attending tryouts for the last month or more and was certainly put through his paces as they continue to cut players after each round of tryouts. On Saturday evening the official announcement was released on the Basketball Victoria website and social media pages and we were all thrilled to see Casey DeWacht (Warrandyte) on the list of players selected.
Casey is currently playing in our 16.1 Venom boys side coached by Big V player Nathan Marsh and has been training with our Youth League Men’s Side. Casey now begins a vigorous campaign of training in preparation for the National Under 16 Championships in July to be held in Tasmania. We will keep you all informed of his development through the next few months and how you can follow his Victorian Metropolitan side as they will have practice games before the Nationals in July.
