STATE COACHING APPOINTMENTS FOR 2 OF WARRANDYTE'S OWN
2016 Victorian State Team Coaching Panels Announced
Following another very successful 2015 National Championships campaign, Basketball Victoria has begun preparations for the 2016 State Program, announcing the 2016 State Coaching Panels.
Grant Wallace, Basketball Victoria’s Operations Manager said, “As is always the case, the level of interest in the positions and quality of applications we received was very high.”
“The 2016 Coaching Panels include players and coaches who have represented Australia at Olympic and World Championship level plus NBA, NBL and WNBL Level. Each Head Coach holds a current Level 2/Association NCAS Accreditation and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our program.”

The 2016 Australian Junior Championship dates and venues were announced by Basketball Australia last month and will tip off in February (14th – 20th) with the Under 20 and Ivor Burge Championships in Ipswich, Queensland. The Under 18 Championships will follow in April (16th – 23rd) in Forestville, South Australia and the year will be rounded out with the Under 16 Championships, at home in Victoria, hosted by Kilsyth Basketball from the 2nd – 9th July.
Preparations for the Under 20 and Ivor Burge programs will commence next month with trials being held and the younger age groups will commence their campaigns later in the year.
