2015 SEABL Fixture Release

Check out the fixtures for the upcoming 2015 SEABL season.

The fixtures for the 2015 SEABL season have been released, with the major changes being the reduction in rounds from 20 in 2014 to 18 this year, and the absence of the Knox Raiders.

The 2015 season will tip-off later than previous years, with the season opener on Friday 10th April after the Easter weekend and the mid-season break after Round 8 in conjunction with the Queen’s Birthday weekend.

Scheduled to open the 2015 season on Friday 10th April are Ballarat hosting Bendigo and Hobart against Sandringham in both the men and women, while the rematch of last year’s men’s Grand Final between Mount Gambier and Nunawading will be the showcase game of the opening round.

Each men’s team will play 24 games during the regular season, with the women’s teams playing 22 games – two games less than the 2014 season. As for the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence, similar to last year they will play every team once and be ineligible to participate in the finals series.

Other significant points in the fixture include:

-     Canberra men have moved to the East Conference

-     The SEABL Still I Rise Round is scheduled for Round 15

-     The SEABL BCNA Pink Round is scheduled for Round 5

-     Six men’s and six women’s games will be played on Anzac Day, Saturday 25th April

-     As for midweek games, in Round 3 Canberra will take on the BA CoE, Dandenong and Sandringham men will face-off on Thursday 18th June, while Ballarat host Geelong on Wednesday 8th July
