Under 18 action !!! Roos & Robins in match of the night
Second placed West will be looking to continue its dominance over South in the match of the night tonight, at 5.45pm, when they tackle the Boys from over the Hill.
Last time they met West dominated the game to win by 61 points but South are definitely improving every week, and one feels a closer contest will unfold. West have 4 wins and South 2 wins in the first 7 rounds, and a win to West would just about sew up 2nd spot whilst South would love to close the gap to just one game and at the same time sneak further ahead of 4th placed North.
South’s had a big win last week over an undermanned North team with its key players all continuing their fine seasons. For West they failed the acid test against Centrals and will need to regroup quickly to stop the slide. It would be no surprise if the Roos get the points this week.
In the late game Centrals will be looking for eight straight when they clash with North’s. The Bulldogs just can’t take a trick at the moment with two more injuries last week to Jayden Lee and Brendon Martin. Hopefully this week Ethan Thomas will be back, but it may be a few weeks before their elite under 15 players Lachlan Tiziani & Trent Barraclough return.
With three games to the mid season school holiday break North’s just need to keep hanging in and surly their luck will change. For Centrals no such problems at the moment with their senior players all playing some quality football, and an easy win will unfold.
