West hold a one game and considerable percentage advantage over Centrals and another win Saturday would just about stitch up 3rd place and keep their premiership aspirations alive.
West have 4 big ins with Darren Zanette, Leighton Raven, Nick Agius & Nathan Kickett back whilst Tom Kickett will be a big loss. Junior Callum Rosewarn have been squeezed out!
Central's face the music without Coach Justin Heath (hamstring), Brent Zanette (work), Pat Nash and Lachlan Jenkin. Into the team come Cohen Sulicich, Jake Gepp, Cohen Turner, Josh Torney & James Bressanelli.
West pushed North's last week and Centrals clawed their way back against South to lose by only a kick so both are playing some good footy. A plus for Centrals is that they kicked 15 goals, whilst West continue to kick more than ten goals.
West have been competitive just about every week whilst Centrals have been better recently but earlier in the season were very much hot and cold.
West unleashed Daniel Milne, Jono Naden and Brett Rose last week in the middle in the last quarter and they almost won the game for the Robins. Matt Nelson's ruck work has been superb all year but Sam Bevan will give a good contest for the Pies. West also had Chad Ryan in great form and Aaron Taylor looks a chance to kick multiple goals as he has great penetration in his kick. Nathan Kickett has a great pair of hands and looms as West's key forward.
At ground level Jordan Tonkin, Nicholas Agius (pictured) and Nick Christos are quick and will threaten to run the Pies ragged!
Centrals have hung on in recent weeks and just must manufacture a win this week. Much will again fall at the feet of Paul Christie in the middle and the return of Cohen Sulicich will help offset the loss of Zanette. Jarred Paul has been brilliant all year and the backlines led by Zayden White, Mick Anderson, Curtis Jelbert and Lindon Cox have been very solid.
The injury list at Pie land is just too long to see them win.... Bayden Quinn and Brad Mannion are long term injuries and with Heath, Zanette, Nash, Jenkin & Lawrence out the Robins will just about sew up 3rd place by 5pm Saturday.
