Saturday Cluster Round Overview

In front of a growing crowd at Dandenong Basketball Stadium the Be Active Perth Wheelcats battled the rising temperatures to defeat the Victoria Dandenong Rangers 73-41 in Saturday's first game. Perth's Shaun Norris top-scored with 29 points well ahead of fellow team mate and next top scorer Adam Deans with 19 points.

Wollongong Roller Hawks preyed on Adelaide Thunder taking them down 75-30. Showing their dominance in an early lead Wollongong high-pointers Brett Stibners and Shawn Russell scored 31 and 18 respectively, with Luke Watkins top scoring for Adelaide at 14.

The final game for Saturday had spectators unable to look away with an intensely close game between the RSL Queensland Spinning Bullets and Sydney Uni Wheelkings. Drawing 17 all at the end of the first quarter Queensland snagged a slight lead in the second to go to half time at 31-28. In a second half as close as the first Queensland managed to just hold onto the lead to end the game at 53-50. With a few spills and thrills Kylie Gauci took out top-scorer for the Wheelkings with 16 while juniors Jordan Bartley and Tom O'Neill-Thorne top scored for Queensland with 31 between them.
