MATCH REPORT: Wheelcats vs Red Dust Heelers
A tough NWBL debut for the Red Dust Heelers up against 2013 Premiers the Be Active Perth Wheelcats.
A 30-10 first quarter from the Wheelcats set up the 84-46 win with Norris and Eveson ruthless, both scoring 30+ points each. Veteran Sam Clarke made the most of his opportunities, Michael Hartnett putting on a low point clinic for the Perth team.
The Red Dust will be better off for having played their first official game together. Brad Ness top scored for the Heelers with 21 points but there’s a lot to like about the league new comers. They have depth in every position and will cause some serious headaches in 2014.
