Mens Open Redbacks Score Premiership
The Maitland Redbacks Mens Open representative squad were the inaugural premiers at the newly introduced NSW Touch Football - North West Games. The tournament was held in Armidale at the end of March, with a large turnout from teams from all over the northern part of the state.
After battling it out against all the Mens teams in their division, they faced off against Tamworth Mens Open in the Grand Final, but were victorious in taking home the winners title.

2012 Winter Comp – Still taking late registrations
Maitland Touch are less than two weeks away from competition tap off. The Early bird fee may have ceased, but we are still taking team and individual registrations up until Tuesday 8 May 2012. If you or your team are still keen to play in a fun filled comp, then register now before your time runs out.

Position Vacant – Junior Vice President
Maitland Touch are asking for interested people to apply for the casual vacancy of Junior Vice President.
Being a part of the clubs board of executive, this role primary overseas aspects involving juniors/youth members within the club. This position also plays a strong part in the overall running of the club in conjunction with the other board members and committee to ensure its smooth running. This position is a casual vacancy (which will be up until the next AGM, which will be in August 2012). Time commitment required for this role is estimated to be approx. 2 hours per week, plus a monthly meeting. We are also still interested in recruiting new committee members and volunteers. In just a few short weeks’ time, four of our representative sides will make their way to Dubbo for the annual NSW Touch Association Country Championships.
Our Mens Open, Womens Open, Mens 30’s and Mixed Senior Sides will battle it out with the rest of the country touch footy clubs and see who prevails with the divisional premierships and ultimate club championship.

Maitland Touch will be coordinating a Level 1 (Beginners) Referee Course on Saturday 9 June 2012.
This course is for beginners, and is encouraged to anyone who wishes to participate. This is a perfect opportunity for teams who have to supply a referee to complete this course and get more than one person who is capable to referee to help your team out come duty time.

2012 SCHOOL TOUCH FOOTBALL CLINICS
Later this year, Maitland Touch will be conducting junior touch football clinics at schools around the hunter.
If you are keen to get a clinic at your school, then tell your teachers to get in touch with us to lock one in before it’s too late.
Alternatively, email us now and we will contact your school directly to get the clinic going.
2012 PRIMARY SCHOOLS GALA DAY
In addition to the touch clinics, Maitland Touch Association will also be hosting the 2012 Hunter Primary Schools Gala Day.
This day is open to ALL primary schools (public, private, independent, religious etc).
It will be held on Thursday 6 September 2012. More information will be released soon on our website – www.maitlandtouch.com.au – alternatively, email us your interest to participate and we will send you the details and forms once confirmed and published.
