A New Hall for Big V Champ Women

The Bulleen Boomers are excited to announce the signing of American import Taylor Hall to their Big V State Championship Women's team.

Hall, a 6’1” forward, is just 22 years of age but has already put together an impressive resume through four years at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, from where she graduated last year.

In the 2013/14 college season, her senior year, Hall averaged 15ppg, 8.6rpg and 4.5apg on her way to being named Southern Conference Female Athlete of the Year.

She also became the first Southern Conference player to be selected as league Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Southern Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player all in the same year.

Her success earned an invitation to a Seattle Storm WNBA training camp, where she was eventually cut before signing with CCC Polkowice in Poland for their 2014/15 season.

Hall will add plenty to a young Boomers side who look to be around the finals mark in 2015, with her ability to play a number of positions pleasing for Head Coach Matt Paps.

“We’re very excited to have somebody of the calibre of Taylor come to our club. Her playing and college experiences will be invaluable to not just our team but also the club. Taylor can play multiple positions so she will add depth to an already versatile team”, said Matt.

Taylor is expected to suit up this weekend for her first Big V game with the Boomers, so be sure to get down to East Doncaster Secondary College this Saturday 28th at March 6:00pm as our State Championship Women take on the Eltham Wildcats.
