FSC KNIGHTS FOOTBALL SEASON HAS KICKED OFF

Football South Coast's All-Age All Abilities football team the FSC Knights' season is in full swing in their inaugural year.
The team - formed to give children with autism, Down syndrome and mild intellectual disabilities a chance to participate in all things football - played their second round at the weekend.
Children aged under-6 and under-8 will play games on a weekly basis against mainstream teams in a modified format.
FSC chief executive Ann-Marie Balliana said the program had got off to a great start.
"A big part of grassroots football is that we give everybody an opportunity to play the game," Balliana said.
"These members of our community are those who just need that extra bit of support to get out there and have fun and make new friends.
"They get that whole experience of playing football and playing different clubs."
FSC started the program after recognising the region was without an avenue for all players to participate in football, some previously having to travel to Sutherland to compete.
The governing body joined forces with The Disability Trust to ensure that would no longer be the case.
