How NAB Staff Volunteers can assist your club.
Tell us how we can help
As part of the NAB Staff Volunteer Program, all staff are entitled to two days paid volunteer leave each year to help out in their local communities. And of course, NAB's Staff Volunteers can organise with your club to spend more time helping out in their local communities. As a part of our support for the AFL, we encourage local football clubs around Australia to register their club with the NAB Staff Volunteer Program. We'll do just about anything. It might be help with budgeting, financial plans, clubroom renovations or runners. Or even canteen duty! Just tell us how we can contribute. After registering your club with the NAB Staff Volunteer Program, NAB will then aim to provide the staff you need to lend a hand at your club.
Some important things to note
Before requesting a NAB Staff Volunteer, there are several things to consider:
- it is a company requirement that all organisations involved in the NAB Staff Volunteer Program hold public liability insurance, therefore you will need to provide a copy of your club's policy. (Public liability insurance is an included component of the AFL National Risk Protection Program. Please contact JLT Sport on 1300 130 373 for a certificate of currency to be sent to you)
- activities should be no longer than a 2 day requirement
- in some states police checks are now a legal requirement for anyone working/volunteering directly with children under 18. So, where you have players at your club under 18, the range of areas we can help in will be reduced. This doesn't stop us from helping with any administration or even running the boundary!
- we'll do our best but we cannot guarantee the availability of a National Staff Volunteer. This is because the NAB
Staff Volunteer Program is optional and our staff need to register their interest in your club before a match can be made
So if your footy club meets the above criteria and could use a helping hand, apply now to register through this link:
