The third preseason event was at Bargo located in the Southern Highlands where ACTWAFL side Ainslie took on UNSW-Easts Stingrays. Ainslie bringing an experienced side was triumphant over a Stingray side blooding their rookies. In the second game ACTWAFL Belconnen Magpies took on the Balmain Dockers. Although the Magpies only had 18 players they scored the opening goal before Balmain dominated possession and the scoreboard in the second quarter. From there the match settled into a grinding affair with both sides focusing on team play and team dynamics. The end score was the Balmain Dockers 7.8.50 to Belconnen Magpies 4.4.28. All four sides were thankful of the Wollondilly Knights efforts regarding game and oval preparation and talks are now proceeding to have this as an annual preseason challenge event.
