NITP
The National Intensive Training Program (NITP) is a development model for players and coaches for identifying and teaching the outstanding junior basketballers in every state and territory in Australia.
Basketball Western Australia trialled athletes from both metro and country WA during August 2013. From the country trials the top 52 athletes were selected to participate in the program.
Congratulations to Mandurah Magic athletes Travis Durnin, Nick Lawrence, Damon Ballanytne and Morgan Ballantyne who have been working tirelessly attending weekly sessions with NITP coaches, completing their strength and conditioning programs, written programs and attending weekend camps.
During the December NITP weekend camp Travis, Nick, Damon & Morgan were fortunate to receive two days of training from Australian Boomers Coach Andrej Lemanis, “best two day session they have ever done!”
We wish Travis, Nick, Damon & Morgan well for the remainder of their program and their playing future.
