Intention to Claim Get Started Grant Information

If you are the holder of a pension card or health care card from Department of Human Services, then you may be eligible to apply for a $150 Get Started Grant for each eligible child.

Ipswich Basketball Association is a registered association that can accept these vouchers to offset some costs of entering a sport.

The Get Started Grant opens Wednesday 28th January 2015.

As IBA has now moved to online basketball registration and a player must be financial before they can take the court, all Parents who are going to utilise the Get Started Grant for their child/ren, must complete the Intention to Claim Get Started Grant.

We ask that you adhere to the strict guidelines that IBA have put in place to enable your child/ren to take the court to play basketball.

Step 1: The Intention to Claim form can be downloaded by clicking HERE

Step 2: The Intention to Claim form MUST be handed in to the stadium NO LATER than Thursday 29th January 2015 – this is to allow your child/ren to take the court from the first fixture day.

Step 3: Apply for the Grant and hand in printed receipt/certificate to the office at the stadium NO LATER than Friday 6th February – this is to allow your child/ren to take the Court from Saturday 7th February.

PLEASE NOTE: If the receipt/certificate of grant application is NOT received by Friday 6th, your child will NOT take the Court on Saturday 7th of February and any subsequent games until monies have been received. This amount will remain as an outstanding debt to the Ipswich Basketball Association until paid.
