2015 Winter Senior Season - Info and Team Codes
Senior Winter Season
The 2015 Senior Winter season will start on Monday 11th May (Women) and Tuesday 12th May (Men) and will run for 17 weeks, plus finals. There are no grading games this season - Round 1 will begin on the 11th and 12th May.
Please note that Monday 8th June the Queen's Birthday public holiday. As per previous recommendations from RBI Members, competitions will still be played on public holidays.
Team Nominations are required by Friday 1st May – Clubs/Teams are required to complete forms and return to RBI office in person or via email to admin@rockhamptonbasketball.com.au. Please find a copy of the Team Nomination Form attached below.
Each team is required to have a minimum of 6 core players.
NOTE: A junior member with a ‘Junior playing up’ membership does not count as a core player. If a team requires juniors to make up their core player quota, then 2 x ‘Juniors Playing Up’ will equate to 1 senior core player. Alternatively, the junior member will need to purchase a full Senior membership instead of a ‘Junior Playing Up’.
Fees for the 2015 Winter Season will be $250 for a Senior Membership and $100 for a ‘Junior Playing Up’ Membership. This is a slight increase on 2014 fees. Unfortunately due to increased running costs we were not able to sustain the existing membership prices for another year, however we have tried to keep changes to an absolute minimum. Please also note that this new membership rate absorbs the 3.9% sporting pulse registration fee so there will no longer be any extra charges when you finalize your payment.
Players registrations will be required by Friday 8th May. Registration is now open online at www.rockhamptonbasketball.com.au. Simply click on the icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. Team codes can be downloaded as an attachement at the bottom of this page.
If you are unable to register online a $20 processing fee will apply for manual transactions. Players will also need to complete a paper-based registration form so that details can be transferred onto the online system.
If you are having difficulty registering online you must contact the RBI office prior to scheduled competition date for assistance. Please do not turn up for your first game to communicate that you have had trouble with the online process. You will not be able to take the court until their registration has been finalized.
Games Times
Games will be scheduled at the following times. Once team numbers for each division have been finalized draws will be auto-created using the Sporting Pulse software. Requests for changes to the draw will not be considered.
Monday: 6.00pm, 7.00pm and 8.00pm
Tuesday: 6.00pm, 7.00pm and 8.00pm
Courts
Although the restoration work on Brady court will continue throughout the year, we are confident that the 6 week drying process implemented after Cyclone Marcia restored the court to a point where we can again utilize if for games. This will allow us to have scheduled games finish at appropriate times.
