Monday Under 16/19 Boys Competition Information

 

Winter Competition 2018 Information for Under 16/18/19 Boys

The Competition: The Winter Competition runs over term 2 and term 3 2018

All under 16 Divisions  and under 19 divisions 3,4 and 5 games will be played each Monday at 4.15pm, 5.05pm, 5.55pm , 6.45pm & possibly 7.40 pm.

All under 19 Division 1 and 2 games will be played on Tuesday at 5.00pm, 6pm and 7.30pm

The first 3 weeks of the term are used for grading games.

 

Game times will be available on the website sutherland.basketball.net.au under the competitions

navigation bar/ junior competitions/ Monday under16/18 /19boys or Tuesday under 19 games

You should expect that you will play at a different time each week   

 

Registration Fees : Registration is for 12 months and covers membership and insurance costs

If you are new to Basketball your registration fee is $130. If you are currently registered in a Menai Basketball Competition you only need to pay $40 affiliation until your annual registration is due.

If you play in an SDBA team you will also be charged an association fee of $40 for 12 months to help with the costs of coaching & administration. Club team players are charged a club fee.

 

Game Fees: Game fees for the Competition are $90.00 per term and are due in week 1 of term 2 and term 3 There will be a $10 discount if fees are paid in full at the beginning of term 2

Once your child has been placed in a team they are expected to play in that team for the duration of the competition. Should your child be unable to play due to injury or illness on presentation of a doctor’s certificate for games missed, these games fees will be transferred or refunded.

 

Payments:  Registration, Association & Game Fees can be paid at the office by cash, card or cheque. These fees can be paid over the phone by credit card.

Uniforms: You will need to purchase a playing singlet for $35.00 which when you finish playing you will receive a refund if its returned in good condition. You will need to buy a pair of plain black basketball shorts (no pockets).

Training Sessions:  Free training/skills sessions will be conducted each week so please try to come to the session.

Player Responsibilities:  As basketball is a team sport it is an expectation that you will be committed to your team for the duration of the competition.

A player has to have played 66% of competition games in his team to be eligible to play in the final series.

 

Parent Responsibilities:  Please ensure that registration fees and game fees are paid on time. Notify the team contact or Association if your child is sick or away on school excursion or family holiday and cannot play a particular game /games.

During competition games each team is required to have a parent take a turn on the score bench. It is an easy job and we will help you until you get your confidence up.
