premierships after a
solid performance in
Saturday’s grand
finals.
In the closest match
of the day, the B-grade,
Mulwala held on to win
the premiership 49-46
against Numurkah.
Mulwala which was a
clear favourite had to
fight hard for the win
after Numurkah, which
was at one stage eighth
on the ladder during
the year, threw everything
at the Lions.
The Lions responded
and held on for a thrilling
three-goal win.
Despite Numurkah
missing out on the
premiership Stacey
Tibbs was judged best
on court.

of the day with a sevengoal
win, 49-42.
Again Mulwala
entered the game as
favourite and did not
disappoint its supporters,
saluting at the final
whistle.
It was an even game
but Mulwala used a
five-minute spell at the
end of the third quarter
to break the game open
and create a matchwinning
lead.
Mulwala’s Jade Panter
was judged best on
court for her game in
the attacking end for
the Lions.
In the C-grade, it

Tongala had a heap of
support and captain
Sharynlee Shenfield
responded, putting in a

to make sure Tongala

the coming years with a
convincing 12-goal win
over Echuca United.
Moama, which had a
terrific year, proved too
strong for the Eagles
and Bridie Crow was
named best on court.
In the 17-andunder

out on the 17-andunder
premiership by
claiming the 15-andunder
premiership with
a 32-goal drubbing of
Rumbalara.

spectacular netball
using every part of the

Rumbalara.
Ellie Ralph from
Echuca United claimed
the best on court

its third premiership for
the day with a sevengoal

Nathalia looked like it
might cause an
upset.
Mulwala’s Tara Ralph
