The round two encounter could see Moama hold its position on top of the Murray Football League in what would be a 2-0 start to the year.
After a slow start last week, the Magpies got going to down Echuca United by a massive 76 points. Nathalia, on the other hand, went down to Tongala by 35 points at home.
Moama co-coach Shannon Keam said his side was reasonably pleased with its start to the year.
``It's always good to get off to a good start in round one,'' he said.
``We are still looking to improve on the performance though. We are setting ourselves high standards.''
Important to the Magpies' win last week were the performances of new recruits, including Ashley Rowlands, James Scrambler, Adam Clymo and Sam McNeill.
``It's always good to get new blood in the side,'' Keam said.
``First impressions are they are going to fit in well and contribute.''
Last year, Moama defeated the Purples in the two matches the sides played by 108 and 130 points respectively.
The Magpies have won three of the past four clashes between the sides. However, Keam said he wasn't expecting the Purples to be easy beats.
``Nathalia are a pretty proud club and they will give it their all,'' he said.
``We can't take any opposition lightly. It's only round two so we don't know where everyone is at.''
Keam said he hoped the strong home game record from last season would continue.
``We are looking forward to our first home game of the year,'' he said.
``You try to make your home ground the advantage that it is supposed to be.''
Moama is expected to go into the game unchanged from last week, although Scrambler pulled up a little sore.
