Standout performers from four clubs have been recognised at this year’s Traralgon and District Junior Football League vote count and presentation night.
Held at Traralgon Football Netball Club last night, five individual awards were handed out, along with the Club Code of Conduct Award, which was presented to West End Junior Football Club.
Pax Hill forward Jake Healey claimed the best and fairest award for the under-16 division, which is played
Healey finished with 25 votes to win the award ahead of Heyfield’s Liam Heasley (22 votes) and Saints teammate Kyle Whateley (18).
Healey also collected the Chris Zotti Memorial Under 16 Leading Goalkicker Award for his competition-high 43 goals through the home and away season.
Glengarry cleaned up the under-14 division awards, with Rhyley Guiney taking out the best and fairest award and teammate Kodie Carnes scooping the Jason Boulton Memorial Under 14 Leading Goalkicker Award for his 59 goals.
Guiney polled 29 votes to win from Pax Hill’s Makhai Maaka and TEDAS’ Josh Hamilton, who finished on 23 votes each.
Police Boys star Ella Stoddart claimed the under-12 best and fairest award with 24 votes, from Southside’s Marlon Neocleous (19 votes) and TEDAS’ Melvey Podmore (18).
The TDJFL season wraps up this Sunday, with grand final day at Traralgon Recreation Reserve.
TEDAS will contest the under-10A, under-12 and under-14 deciders against Combined Saints, West End and Pax Hill respectively, while West End meets Churchill in the under-10B grand final.
Pax Hill takes on Heyfield in the combined under-16 competition grand final, which will be played at College Oval in Sale as part of the SDJFA’s preliminary final day.
