EACH time Marble Range centre-half forward Matt Parker kicks a goal this season, it won't just be the Rangers celebrating.
The Jane McGrath Foundation will also applaud the goal as a goal kicked for breast cancer research.
Mr Parker is fundraising for the Jane McGrath Foundation by kicking goals this season, and he is looking for sponsors to donate $1 for every goal he kicks throughout the year.
More than 120 sponsors have already signed up for the cause.
At the the moment, every goal Mr Parker kicks this season will mean $140 will go towards breast cancer research.
He said although he didn't have a personal connection to breast cancer, he had friends that had been affected by the disease.
"I've got a lot of friends that have been affected by it, and I have three sisters and a mum," he said.
"I just thought I would give back while I can."
Mr Parker, who has been playing for Marble Range since 2005 and played nearly 100 games for the club, said he had an original goal of $3000.
He said some sponsors had even offered to pay $2, $5 or $10 for each goal, and the fundraising total could topple $5000.
The centre-half forward kicked 44 goals last football season, and was hoping to match the feat.
"But I'm not doing it in hope of kicking lots of goals," he said.
"It's just something to give back."
