ARE YOU KEEN TO DEVELOP AS A JUNIOR UMPIRE?

Our College and Intermediate Comp is a great way to develop your confidence as an advanced Kiwi Whistler, progress towards your Introductory Badge and beyond and keep up your skills and fitness in the off-season while making yourself a little pocket-money!

Umpires receive mentoring from one of our experienced Junior Umpire Coordinators who will observe your games, provide feedback from week to week, consult with you about your rule interpretation and support you throughout your College and Intermediate Comp experience.  This is a valuable development opportunity therefore preference will be given to advanced Kiwi Whistler or Introductory Badge umpires wishing to extend their knowledge and practical experience.

Umpires receive an umpire contribution of $10 per game provided by the teams that you will be umpiring.

It is important to therefore remember to take your umpiring responsiblities seriously including the need to be appropriately-dressed (no bare feet, jandals, sandals, chucks, flats or boots - sports shoes only), always bring your own whistle each week, arrive 10 minutes in advance of your first game, and always remain professional and fair when performing your umpire duties.

Umpires are allocated to games by the Centre for all games.

Umpire draws will be posted on the Netball Wellington Centre website www.netballwellington.co.nz prior to the game each week.  Locate the “Umpire Roster” tab and scroll to find your name.  If for any reason it is not possible to update the website, umpires will receive the weekly draw via email once finalised or may be advised via text.

If interested in getting involved in this great opportunity and having fun while developing your skills, please email our Games Coordinator on games@netballwellington.co.nz.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
