Wellington Netball is moving indoors!
We are excited to confirm that all Premier, Premier Reserve and Senior grades will play at the 12-court ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie next year. We are proposing that Collegiate 1 and 2 also play indoors and there is room for additional Collegiate grades to play indoors as well.
Some benefits of playing inside at the new stadium are:
- no more playing in the rain, wind and cold
- reduced risk of injury on the sprung-floor
- 317 onsite car parks - 82 more than Hataitai Park
- cafe with seating for over 100
- new changing rooms and toilets
- Warm-up space for all teams
- electronic scoreboard - no more soggy scorecards
- spectator and score bench seating
- wider run-off (the gap between the courts)
- great views od the courts from the mezzanine floor
