Pirates, Birks & Hawks gain National Club Accreditation - Level 2

Football Federation SA wishes to congratulate Port Adelaide Pirates, West Torrens Birkalla and Adelaide Hills Hawks on gaining National Club Accreditation (NCA) – Level 2. The three clubs are currently the only Football Federation SA affiliated clubs at Level 2 with in the program.

The NCA Scheme aim is to raise standards and to recognise and reward quality clubs, which ultimately contributes to quality football experiences for players, volunteers and parents.

Pirates Chairman Peter Murray noted the importance of reaching the NCA Level 2.

“It is great for the club to achieve the NCA Level 2. It has been a challenging, rewarding and a self-appraisal of where the club was at and where it wanted to be in a position on the field and in the community.

“I must thank the dedicated committee members, club sponsors and members who gave freely of their time over a couple of weekends (and their families) to make sure the Pirates were able to gain the NCA Level 2 Accreditation.

“Going forward the club direction is now clear and we have defined benchmarks we can continually refer back to and access to continually move the club forward.”

West Torrens Birkalla Chairman Amin Ayoubi told of the pride from the fellow western suburb club’s achievement.

“We at Birks are very proud of our achievements; it’s the hard work our people put in that connects us with the club success on and off the field.

“We strive on developing our players to achieve an outcome.”

Adelaide Hills Hawks President Estelle Bowman attributed the accreditation to a member of the club.

“Jane Hosking, (Hawks Committee Member) was responsible for coordinating the club’s National Club Accreditation application.

“Going through the process was a good discipline for us all and provided both a catalyst and a framework for addressing future plans in a more structured way.”

Congratulations again to Port Adelaide Pirates, West Torrens Birkalla and Adelaide Hills Hawks on this achievement.
