Capital Futsal host NZF Youth/Junior Nationals this weekend
After Hawkes Bay have hosted previous events, this is the first time in the Capital and includes U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s and U19s. Teams are federation-based selected teams from local leagues. The venue is the 12-court ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie for what will be a landmark event for Futsal in New Zealand.
There is a festival approach for the U10s and U12s with Futsal Whites - lead coaching sessions and some FIFA Street on Playstation for down time.
The U14s, U16s and U19s are set to be fiercely competitive with many football representative players, a few in the senior men's NZF Futsal Whites squad, Futsal National League, as well as triallists for the NZF Football U17 and U20 teams.
U10s to U16s kick off Saturday from 2:30pm, with finals at 3pm Sunday. The 19s start from 4pm Sunday through to the final at 5:30pm on Monday night.
